About Our Soaps:
Our soaps are made in small quality controlled batches using the cold process method. We carefully select our oils and blend with other ingredients to create soaps that are both mild and gentle to the skin. After our soaps are made, they are set aside to cure for a minimum of two months. All bars weigh at least 3.5 oz. and are hand cut. Soaps may vary in color depending upon oils, fragrances and other ingredients used. We use no artificial colors or preservatives. We hope that you will try our soaps - they are a treat for the skin and the senses!

Relaxing:
Red Roses - An all time favorite scent in a gentle hand crafted bar. This rose fragrance is not too flashy or sweet but rather delicate and true.

Cucumber & Aloe - Our basic mild olive oil soap enhanced with fresh cucumber puree' and organic aloe vera.

North Woods - Inspired by the forests of "upnorth" Wisconsin. Real fir needle essential oil transports you from your shower to the north woods.

Oils and Other Ingredients
Making hand crafted soaps is the art and science of blending several oils to come up with a bar that has a good balance of mildness, lather and firmness.
Please note that each of our soaps has a full list of ingredients listed on the back. We do this for your protection. If you have allergies please check the ingredient list carefully before using any of our soaps. If a rash or any skin irritation occurs, discontinue use immediately.
Ingredient List and Function:
The primary oil used in all of our soaps is olive oil. Soaps will also contain several of the following oils:
- Olive Oil: Mildness
- Coconut Oil: Lather, Firmness
- Tallow: Mildness, Firmness, Lather
- Lard: Mildness, Firmness
- Palm Oil: Firmness
- Canola Oil: Mildness
- Castor Oil: Mildness, Lather
- Shea Butter: Mildness, Firmness
- Cocoa Butter: Mildness, Firmness
- Goat's Milk: Adds a wonderful soothing property to soaps. Our Goat's Milk and Oatmeal, Milk & Honey soaps contain fresh goat's milk and no water.
- Lye: (sodium hydroxide) You can't make soap without it! Although lye is a harsh product to begin with, through the soap making process it is fully neutralized
- Essential Oils: Natural fragrance oils derived from plant sources used to scent some of our soaps.
- Fragrance Oils: Man made fragrance oils used to scent some of our soaps ~ offer endless variety.
We may also use herbs or other food grade ingredients to give our soaps added color or texture.
And that's it! What we don't add to our soaps are artificial colors or preservatives.
About Us:
Green Valley Farm has been in our family since 1908. My husband and I have been operating it with our five children since 1983. Our oldest daughter and son in law are now joining us as fourth generation dairy farmers. I find that the art of soap making is much like farming ~ a commitment to excellence along with hard work produces a product you can be proud of.
Shipping and Ordering:
We will ship any number of bars anywhere in the USA for a flat fee of $5.00. We ship USPS Priority Mail and strive to get all orders out within 48 hours.
Payments: We can only accept credit cards payments through PayPal at this time. We do accept personal checks but shipment will be delayed up to ten days after the check is received.
Returns: Because we can't assure the purity of our products once they leave our home, we can't accept returned soaps. If you are not satisfied with one of our soaps, please contact us immediately and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
